What do we think? Shall I get a quote for the above from Dell?<br>

I've called Dell, new quotes attached - with monitors (if we're
doing this as a complete solution, lets do a complete solution).
Dell can't supply Firewire cards, and cannot supply HDMI capture
cards (they have one HDMI capture card in their precision range, but
cant add that part tot his order for some reason). <br>
<br>
Video capture boxes: $1267.00, plug GST $126.70 = $1,393.70 ea (x 3)<br>
DVSwitch host: $1586.00, plus GST $158.60 = $1,744.60 ea (x 1)<br>
Encoding/archiving host: $1,632.00, plus GST 163.20 = $1,795.20 ea
(x 1)<br>
<br>
So that's a total of $7720.90 including the GST for the 5 PCs, plus
we need to get three PCI-E Firewire cards or HDMI capture cards
separately.<br>
<br>
Can you guys review the spec of the hosts and comment. I removed all
DVD drives from the video sources, all have a 128 GB SSD as their
primary disk; the archive box has an additional 500 GB HDD to store
the video and an extra gig NIC to connect to a separate outbound
network (was $40 if we want to remove that). I didn't get an extra
audio card either; we can get a USB one....<br>
