Yeah looked very much like a PSU in AV1, smelt funny, looked cheap (the PSU is the one place you don't want to go cheap), wasn't posting and no initial flash of the keyboard lights on power up. Tried a bios reset + reseating memory etc.<div>
<br></div><div>I think having the right equipment, that is all consistent, removing the on fly changes will go a long way to sorting out the issues we had last night. I'm fairly confident we could script a lot of the manual command running we have to do during setup as well (I have some ideas). Ideally the AV boxes could be headless. Plug in network, plug in power, switch on and walk away.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Overall a very enjoyable night and I'm glad we managed to keep things moving along even with hiccups along the way.</div><div><br></div><div>Leon<br clear="all">--<br>DRM 'manages access' in the same way that jail 'manages freedom.'<br>

<div><br></div>I just wanted to give a big thanks to the AV team who did an awesome job for our VIP talk last night.<div><br></div><div>The videos have great audio thanks to Euan and good video despite the continuous issues with our video feeds (including one box dying completely - looked like PSU failure Leon?). At one point Leon had to go and fix the screen grab box during the talk and I don't think anyone really even noticed :) Luke was quick to catch and restart his vid camera each time it turned off. What I liked most was that people took care of their stuff and happy to think on their feet.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Mumble worked out pretty well I thought so I'm keen to have this running in the future too.</div><div><br></div><div>And thanks to everyone else that helped set things up, run cables, etc... and pack up at the end.</div>
<div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Despite all the hands and 1.5hrs things still felt a bit pressed for time including the networking coming online pretty late (thanks to Mark for sorting that out). We also couldn't get the 3rd camera going (Michael did you work this out in the end?) and the 2nd camera station dying during the night meant we only had one camera for the panel which wasn't ideal. But all in all, great stuff - thanks everyone!</div>
<div><br></div><div><br></div><div>PS: yes it's obvious we need more equipment and more reliable equipment (still waiting on that grant!)</div>
