I was thinking of a piece of string or thin shoelace, it's tied at it's midpoint to the plug then you wrap it around the camera with a shoelace type knot on the opposite side of the camera. Simple but it should keep the plug in.<br>

</div>My research found similar results last night. My debian fu isn't as<br>
sharp, so I wasn't able to really get a solution at the time.<br>

I was thinking that we could glue a direction changer in the port or<br>
something. Also for the new gear maybe some type of cable clamp to<br>
take the bulk of the weight, rather than the camera port. I'd say the<br>
connectors aren't really designed for the way we are using them. (more<br>
for sitting on the desk next to the computer in post recording).<br>
