<div dir="ltr">OK minor update to the image again, the main one changing the "avguy" user to "av" user since that has the potential to break stuff. At least all the OLD_PLUG stuff I fixed/tested and continues to work. I also removed some unused .dv files reducing the size of the clonezilla image to 2.2GB.<div>
<br></div><div><a href="http://permietech.com.au/direct/avclone-20131116-1.7z">http://permietech.com.au/direct/avclone-20131116-1.7z</a></div><div><br></div><div>Uncompress this in /home/partimag or somewhere clonezilla can access. It will uncompress into a sub-directory called avclone-20131116-1.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Also, no idea why but if you want to remove the "file not found" messages on boot then you need to re-install grub: 1) grub-install /dev/sda, and 2) update-grub. That's always been the case and without it things still work fine but the messages are misleading.</div>
<div><br></div><div>This will probably be it for the images, further work will happen in our code/scripts and we can sync all stations via git. I will probably make a final build closer to the date which ensures the "default" state is all good with the latest from git, and that any additional system packages required for our stuff is installed.</div>

I plan to add DVswitch, streaming and recording to the eventstreamr station code. Most of the logic is already their for the other roles, so it shouldn't be difficult to implement. Still pondering how we can make the setup self healing, but I need to sit down and go through the scenarios we face and work out how things fail in those scenarios.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Once we get everything Stable, I was thinking about how we move video around. Something we discussed was ionotify, we should be able to detect when a file is no longer being written to and push it to a central repository. My colleague has done extensive work using it, so I should be able to get some pointers.</div>

<br></div><div>Euan,</div><div><br></div><div>Did you mention that you'd noted someone talking about dvsource-firewire and multiple devices? I haven't found much on google regarding it. Looking at ps, it seems like it just pipes dvgrab -> dvfile or something like that. I've had a quick read of the source code to it, but not when I've had ample brain power to switch into C++ mode.</div>
