Hi

I'm currently looking for a talented Linux Systems Administrator/Dev Ops
person to oversee the systems environment for one of my clients.

 Skills

Amazon Web Services experience

High Availability experience preferably for serving the web

Linux server administration experience

Apache administration

Database administration (we use PostgreSQL, though MySQL etc okay too)

Public networking administration experience (DNS)

Automation skills (Perl, Bash etc) 

 

We would like a pro-active systems administrator with experience in
planning, deploying and maintaining high availability systems preferably
using Amazon Web Services. We currently deploy to servers running Ubuntu and
our application utilises (mainly but not exclusively) Apache, PostgresSQL,
Redis and Ruby so experience with all four or related services is highly
valued. 

 

Mainly we'd like someone proactive about the new style DevOps type work.
Someone that's both able to do these jobs amazingly well manually as well as
train others and write tools that automate mundane tasks. We want this
person to actively seek to improve themselves, their skill set and the
skills of those around them.

 

The team is West Leederville based, right near the train line. Excellent
working environment (casual, relaxed) with a team that is committed to best
practice development using the latest technology.
