The Cirrus Logic card (well the one I had anyway) needs 2 M of memory to run
16 bit colour.  I spent a long time tryingto make it work with startx -bpp16,
and eventually discovered after a laborious RTFM session that I couldn't do
it.  Hope I
spare someone similar efforts...
