I'm in the midst of shifting house right now, so I can't really give much
detail on what release/year/whatever I have. The copy I've got is one which
deals mainly with older Linux systems (1.2.13 series, it seems; Slackware
was the favourite release for the authors). So, take this review with a
grain of salt.

The approach of Linux Unleashed is/was to give the basics and give a bit of
an outline of the apps, daemons, etc, available for Linux. It's definitely
an introductory text. However, saying that, I'd still say it's worth
picking up.
There are things covered in Linux Unleashed that you'd have to wade through
vast pages of ORA textbooks to get to. It's nicely structured for newbies.

It's probably a good idea to grab a copy of Linux Unleashed as well as ORA
books on subjects you need in depth knowledge on.
