[plug] Masq. and Samba?

At the risk of doing a "Leon" (reference to five emails in five minutes).

Does anyone have any ideas if Samba will work through a masq box?

As far as I can determine, I will need to run Samba on the masq box to act 
as a WINS server. The premise is that SMB being a broadcast based 
protocol (at least to discover servers) I need something on the "bridge" to 
collect the information.

Secondly, does anyone have any information about "dial-on-demand" PPP 
links?

Also, does someone know the correct pinning for an UTP crossover cable.
