What's WAIX/PIX/ausbone/SAIX?

On the orignal subject, I suspect mirror.aarnet.edu.au will pick up the
kernel.org mirror as the already do it unofficially.

Yet another question: Is there a protocol for pushing out mirrored
copies of data? So that, eg. mirror.aarnet.edu.au would pick up a copy
of kernel.org and some site in Perth would copy from
mirror.aarnet.edu.au?
