plug Western Power and Linux

Here we run a UPS system, which is hooked into the system via serial so we
can monitor when the power gets shutdown and take appropriate measures to
they system.

I've only been in Perth for about 5 months, but my experience so far
suggests that Western Power and Linux are not entirely compatable !

What do the other list members do to keep their Linux boxes running 24 hrs
a day ? Do you ? Are UPSs the best answer ?

Advice and guidance sought.
