Providing you haven't compiled it into the kernel you should be able to:

"insmod <driver>" where <driver> is the driver name. example:
ppa		parallel port ZIP drive
imm	ZIP Plus drive

check /lib/modules/2.0.??/scsi/ for available drivers..
