Currently, we have two vacancies for UNIX related posts, as follows.

Position 1:
Systems Administrator for a large geophysical exploration company.
Administration of UNIX system (IBM AIX) running 48 CPUs in a parallel
computing system and high speed network. Duties include general
administration and general software support, with elements of
troubleshooting and support to office and on-site users. Ideal candidate
will have experience in UNIX, or variants, and full training will be
given in seismic processing, mapping and modelling applications.
Applicants may have a background in either systems or network
administration. Enthusiasm, potential and solid work ethic are as
important as technical abilities. Would suit team player with interest
in leading edge technology and systems. Permanent post, attractive
rates, negotiable.

Position 2:
Systems Administrator for major oil and gas operator involved in
exploration and development. Administration of UNIX system. Duties will
be to develop, maintain and provide 2nd level support, with emphasis on
UNIX servers, dealing with distributed file systems, user environment,
workstation installation and security. Key systems involvement including
payroll, accounts and Internet services. Ideal candidate will have
advanced AIX knowledge, SP2 administration skills, strong customer focus
and excellent communication skills. Permanent post, attractive rates,
negotiable.
