Suse. I've modified all the timeouts in the /etc/diald.conf file to be
at least ten minutes. But now that you ask that question, could Suse be
using another config file?

Yup! That's it. /etc/suseppp/diald/generic.diald is the file Suse sets
up when I used yast.
