Is there any chance that these modules are now compiled into your kernel
- you did say you recently recompiled your own kernel.. Is is possible
you compiled those services straight into the kernel?
If that is the case, the warning messages are harmless, it's just Debian
trying to install those modules you told it to install during initial
Debian installation, and which it can't find anymore because they are
already compiled in.
I have that hassle every time I install Debian :) - I tend to install the
ethernet driver through the Debian install menu, so Debian adds it to
/etc/modules
Then the first thing I do after I finish installing is recompile the
kernel, and I always compile the ethernet driver in, so next reboot Debian
complains it can't find it. Just remove the offending line(s) from
/etc/modules.
