Mike,
FindFast is evil.
As I understand it:
It indexes content of documents rather than location.
It uses a mscreate.dir file in each directory so if you
want to do a recursive find it still has to traverse the
filesystem.
By default it only covers documents of Microsoft products.
It works by running a background process all the time, rather
than as an At job (NT's equivalent of cron).

Ah - found it - actually "FindFast", not fastfind, and comes with
MS_Office. Whats the joke?
Is it safe to use on NT4?
