Subba,
it sounds like you would be best to stick with the NT boot manager.
You can copy a Linux boot sector to a file on your NTFS partition and edit
a line in "boot.ini" to point to it. e.g.
	 C:\bootsect.lin="Linux (lilo)"

Do you have SCSI bios? If not, the kernel will need to be on your IDE
drive. For more details, see the HOWTO
