Last year I was out looking at some land (trying to find a place to live out of the city)  and had a totally freak fall, dislocated my ankle.  When I finally got to the hospital they put pins and a plate in.  This recent surgery was to get the hardware out.  It was bugging me.  

Hope your knee gets better soon.   Try icing it and staying off it?

If you don't mind me asking, what was the trouble with your ankle?
I have quite a problem with my knee at the moment. In fact, I missed
yesterdays meeting because I couldn't walk (I have a splint from the top of
my leg to my ankle)!
