I had heard one was coming, but paid no attention until it got rather
unexpectedly dark - 90% apparently. About 3 F-stops on the camera,
equivalent to normal shade. And the air got noticably cooler.

Outside, the lighting was very weird, as dim as near sunset, but the
sun overhead. The colour seemed different too. The crescents in the
tree shadows were impressive.
