Hi Oliver,
I am only hazarding a guess, so I'll defer to anyone else who has a better
clue as to the effects, but I expect that the result would probably be a
shutdown... although it is not clear to me if your file-systems would be
properly unmounted, so it could be a bit dangerous (you'd have to reboot -
but if your filesystems are not unmounted correctly, this could cause
problems)...
along with such beuties as rm -rf / -- there are some things that you _can_
do in unix that you don't necessarily _want_ to... ;-)
