Interesting.

That reminds me.. in Saturday's West Australian, in the main section, 
and in the Classified Ad's, in the Computers section, was an 
advertisement seeking bookings for stands at the Perth Computer & 
Technology Expo 1999, at Burswood, 12-14 November 1999. (See page 59 
of the Classified section)

Is PLUG likely to be investigating having a stand there? It could be a 
good opportunity for exposure. Perhaps a corporation, such as DEC, 
might be inclined to sponsor the stand (or Sun, or one of the other 
corporate members of Linux International, or someone else), and it 
could be an opportunity to show the operating system running on 
different hardware platforms.

I can't make it to the meeting tonight - no wheels, but perhaps the 
expo could also be a subject for discussion.

A stand at the expo could also have the potential for PLUG members to 
promote their businesses, eg, those who are ISP's, etc.
