> Hmmm. How "slower"?? I mean, can it be used like a slow hard drive?
Absolutely, although I don't have the stats to hand.
> How does it handle reading normal DVD-ROM's?
With no problems. Likewise video DVDs (not on Linux yet, though).
> Can the DVD-RAM disks be read in a DVD-ROM??
Maybe. Only a few DVD-ROM drives on the market can read them
currently. They come in a case that is the size of a normal CD jewel
case, and you have to remove the DVD from the case in order to read it
in a supported DVD-ROM drive. You can only remove single-sided disks
from their cases. The double sided DVDs are not designed to be
removed (presumably because of the fear that they could be scratched
by a single-sided DVD-ROM drive).
> (Know any links to more info? ^_^;;)
Yes see the DVD FAQ at
http://www.videodiscovery.com/vdyweb/dvd/dvdfaq.html.
