I would just love to know *how* it happened.
I can accept the possibility that it would wreck my system but I have
never known an OS to directly alter the bios, which I assume it has
done, and without even actually progressing to actually install the OS.

I am going to try and do something drastic to the bios and then we'll
see.  I think I will give another install a very wide berth though, like
I need to convince myself of that eh ?
