Before getting excited about 30% improvement in glibc, run procinfo and 
see just how busy your computer actually is.

If you don't have procinfo installed and don't want to bother: wh, here is

possum is a PII-233, emu a P-133.

I gave VAJ 3.0 a workout yesterday: it's a little slow, but no amount of 
optimising libc, kernel etc will help anything like updating to a PIII-500.

For most folk, these optimisations are a pointless game.
