Yeah, it was locked up. Num lock, Caps lock and Scroll lock LEDs would
not respond. Switching VT's no good either.

No response at all. Eventually it gave control back to me.

I've just been going thru my messages log and have found a stack of
messages about filesystem panics and attempts to access beyond the end
of device.

I'm going to force fsck to check the drive for me. I beginning to doubt
its integrity.
