To be honnext I don't use eith glinty or GNO Rpm .... I use the command line.
I can't really give you any meaningfull comparison of the 2 apps.

Try rpm -Uvh /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS/glint*rpm  from a 5.2 CD ... it sould
work.

Or alternativly d/l the .src.rpm file from RedHat and rebuild the package
under 6.0 .... that will work, how well is yet to be seen.
