Edit the file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xservers and remove the line
:0 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X (or whatever it says) so it won't start up a
local display, then play with the other files in that directory to
configure xdm to accept queries from remote X clients.
