I'm *trying* to get the ALSA (Advanced Linux Sound Architecture), but
with little luck!! Has anyone got it going?

The setup:
  Debian 2.1 with Kernel 2.2.4
  Alsa drivers 0.3.0-pre4
  SoundBlaster 64 (ISA PNP)

This is my first bash at modules, as well as first time ISA PNP
fiddling.
I've configured isapnp correctly AFAIK. I run isapnp and it tells me:

Board 1 has Identity 06 0e ea 9e 86 c3 00 8c 0e: CTL00c3 Serial No
250257030 [checksum 06]
CTL00c3/250257030[0]{Audio               }: Ports 0x220 0x330 0x388;
IRQ5 DMA1 DMA5 --- Enabled OK
CTL00c3/250257030[1]{Game }: Port 0x200; --- Enabled OK
CTL00c3/250257030[2]{WaveTable }: Port 0x620; --- Enabled OK

When I go "/sbin/modprobe snd-sb16" to load the sound module, however,
it gives:

/lib/modules/2.2.4/misc/snd-sb16.o: init_module: Device or resource busy
snd: Device or resource busy

Argh!! Any idea what's going bung? I've removed the old sound config
from the Kernel. ie; just got "Sound Support" with nothing specific
selected, as the alsa INSTALL file says to.
