The 2.2 kernels are rather new and unproven. I'm running 2.2.x because I
need one of the new features, but the system was more trouble-free on
2.0.3x.
If you want to get a 2.2 kernel. get the source from ftp.au.kernel.org
directory /pub/linux/kernel/v2.2.
Untar it, read & obey the file Documentation/Changes.
