Ok. What are the areas to compare? i.e. where does distro matter.

1) Ease of installation
   (important for newbies)
2) Package management
  (RH was the leader here.)
3) Security approach
   (starts secure, or everything turned on?)

   (bleeding edge vs tried & true, etc.)
