Dear Tony,

It seems that you might be correct.  dbjob now gets created in /tmp

I'll do some back-tracking to see if John's suggestion of the cron.allow
file had anything to do with it, too.  Then I'll gradually peel off the
explicit path stuff and see where it breaks down.
