If you have loaded the agent for Backup Exec on your Linux machine why do you
need Samba or conversely why do you need the Backup Exec agent if you are using
Samba to access your machine?

How does the backup agent access the system? Does it run as a daemon or started
from inetd or is it started using a an rsh type command?

Can you select directories and files under /?
