Can't help you here but no what you mean about the doco being unhelpful

Three places in aus (well four if you count Netcraft)

http://www.cetustech.com.au
http://www.everythinglinux.com.au
http://www.lsl.com.au
http://www.netcraft.com.au

I have ordered form all of the first three and have found them to be very
reliable with helpful service. Cetus tech get my vote (if you want to do
C.O.D.). Leonard was also the first person to sell Linux stuff in Oz (well
according to unofficial plug history). However only Everything Linux and
Linux System Labs Australia have the ability to pay online by credit card.
(Don't know about Netcraft because I have never used them).

I also believe that there is a "Leon Brooks" Mandrake distro floating around
as well. But I could also say to you why not run Debian? *grin*

This question about where to get such and such distro has come up a few
times on the list. Checking out http://plug.linux.org.au and clicking on the
resource button shows various distro web sites, but no local suppliers. I
know there could be ethical issues over promoting one supplier over another
but this could be very useful info to put on the plug web site.

But lets give three cheers to Ian Kent for maintaining the site hip hip
hooray, hip hip hooray, hip hip hooray. His work goes pretty much unnoticed
until we have some small gripe to complain about.

Has any thing else happened with plug.org.au ?
