It's very pretty, I like the boot-up and installation screens.
It installs through vmware, but won't run (vmware dies with a
NOT_IMPLEMENTED error)
I then installed it on a spare machine, and it installed fine, but then
decided it didn't like the AGP graphic card
(installation used VGA16 X server, so that was fine, but it tried to use
the SVGA server for actual running) so I was faced with kdm trying to run
X, X dying, kdm restarting X, X dying, etc.
I managed to login to the console and run killall kdm, one character at a
time in between it flashing to X and back. :)
Swapped it for a crappy PCI S3, and it's running now, looks pretty.
(looks like KDE with some minor enhancements, which would be because that
is exactly what it is.)
It does run an SMP kernel by default though, which I'm not sure is a good
idea - they should use an SMP kernel for installation, and then if it
detects more than one processor install an SMP kernel on the drive,
otherwise an UP kernel.
Not bad for a first attempt though, kudos to Corel for an excellent
effort.
If anybody would like a CDROM of Corel Linux, let me know and I'll burn
one for you to be picked up from Balcatta, or maybe the Monday meeting.

That was the first thing it asked me when I got X up and running - change
password for root.
