Lashed out and bought a couple of SCSI drives?
It seems that it's trying to mount root on /dev/sdb5

If you know the correct value for your root system, you can override it at 
the lilo prompt, maybe
linux root=/dev/hdb5

for the first secondary partition on your second IDE disk.
