It's a "pre" kernel and seems to work well.

At least, the only problems I've had with Mandrake 6.1 are with
Netscape, a misconfiguration of PHP3 (they left out PostGreSQL and IMAP
calls), and that they ship two versions of MySQL (GPL and commercial)
and a kitchen-sink install results in a mixture with GPL dominating.
