Wondering what this has to do with Linux considering it's a
windows-specific virus (well actually it's considered to be a worm,
because it spreads itself, but anyway.....)

Most Antivirus vendors should have a writeup on the virus.
eg go to www.mcafee.com, enter "happy99" in the search box and select
"Virus Library"
