Aside from the "It's a mac" thing, I wouldn't go with it for what we
want because we are UNIX based, and have strong familiarity with Sun
Solaris, and Intel Linux, so a shift from one to the other will have
minimal learning curve to get the new systems up and running.

Plus, a MAC?? *shudder*

Ok, so I've heared the new Mac OS is good, and the new hardware is
getting there, but still...

There's one on my desk at work!! It's the only computer in my office
that spends more time off than on. ^_^
