A Pentium 100 with 64MB RAM and a 1GB Drive should suffice

The general rule in terms of RAM I've found is that you need roughly
32MB for every GB of HDD space you add to your cache.
(because squid keeps a table in RAM that keeps track of where on the drive
 each file is located, for speed reasons, so the larger the drive, the
 more objects it can store therefor the more RAM it needs)
