The fail-safe systems kick in, and the reactors shut dowm. Your sub is now
a sitting duck for enemy weapons. (Can nuke subs move under electic
power?)

What total bollocks! You dont really have the slightest clue.
The issues in water are totally different than
atmospheric. e.g. The French lost lots of plutonium into a lagoon in a
storm at their Pacific test site, with no significant environmental
impact. They were so shocked they event let in foreign scientists to see.
But the arctic ocean is getting so full of discarded russian naval
reactors, that there is cause for concern.

Anyway, lets take this to alt.politics.lentilmunchers-vs-rednecks
