At least they never kept the interim:-  "Curtin University of New Technology"

It was only after lots of leaflets were printed that some brighter admin
people decided the acronym wasn't suitable for feeble minded people ~`:o

I think the 106 bus goes close, have used it a couple of times since
I lost my license...
