I have the complete 5.1a distribution (linux/solaris/win/os2) on CD
if it's of help to anybody.

Subject: [plug] Local StarOffice...
Hi all,
There was a bit of discussion recently about the "latest" StarOffice,
I think 5.1a. For those who have downloaded and played with it, can
you tell me if it links to glibc 2.1? The "old" StarOffice 5.1 I was
using on my main machine and last night failed to reinstall tries to
use glibc 2.0 by default.
I'm considering upgrading to the latest in a desperate attempt to get
around a spectacular bug in XFree86 3.3.6 on my Debian potato
system... simply starting up StarOffice causes the Xserver to crash.
Which was a bit of a bugger, as I had quite a few files in SO format I
needed to edit :-(. Thankfully my work machine (also Debian, also X
3.3.6) still seems to have no problem with StarOffice, and I can at
least get my spreadsheets into an *ahem* "format" Gnumeric can handle,
though it makes me feel ill to do so. :(
Anyway, does anyone know of (or have made available ;) a local mirror
of the latest StarOffice? I vainly attempted to start a download from
Sun's site but even the bloody form request timed out on me *roll of eyes*.
Thanks for any help,
Pete.
