Skribe, as this is a home server system (you mentioned web cache, mail)
I suggest the following breakdown of your $3500:

$150 - memory upgrade for the P133
$300 - huge new HDD for the P133
$3000 - kick-ass new games machine OR broadband internet access
	OR ski holiday   OR  a new laptop

Just out of curiosity, what are the specs on your main desktop machine ?
