[plug] Backups under KDE

Greetings fellow PLUGers,

I have noticed that under KDE they have this rather nice looking backup
utility.
I have been trying to get it to talk to my now rather old Conner 420MB QIC,
floppy controller attached, tape drive. Trouble is, try as I have, it will
not seem to find it.
I recall that there was this thing called ftape that was for accessing this
sort of drive. Is this still the case or do I need something else these days?

I would be grateful for any help and I am quite happy to RTFM (Read The
Fine Manual) if someone could just point me in the right direction.

Regards,
Chris Griffin
