Stephen,
It has fetched the mail from UCC, but is unable to deliver it locally.
Fetchmail trys to connect to the local TCP mail port - 'SMTP' is the mail
transfer protocol. But nothing is listening.
You should either run a sendmail daemon locally (or equivalent), which 
listens on port 25, or see the '-m' option in the fetchmail man page.
