Ummm, I'm sure this was just a typo, but just in case, that should, as I
understand it and as Richard's $HOME/.vmware noted, be:
/home/yourusername/.vmware
including the dot in front of the vmware

I called mine license20 - but from the docs I expect just "license"
should work.

The lines before and including the first "Cut here", and after and
including the second "Cut here" - it's just the lines in between those
two that you need to put into the license file - nothing else from that
email.

I got the same message the first time I started it up - I could have
sworn I'd done everything right, but in fact I'd saved the "license20"
file to $HOME instead of $HOME/.vmware, by mistake - can happen very
easily.
