Touch typing tutor for Linux...

A quick Google search turned up "Typist".  See 
http://www.linuxgazette.com/issue32/ayers2.html for more info.

If all else fails there is an excellent Windows shareware product called 
"Touch Typing Tutor" which is such a well-behaved application (if that's 
not a contradiction) that it should run amicably under Windows under VMware.
