[plug] More on SSH v2 protocol

Further to a brief discussion here regarding the status of SSH v2
protocol (proprietary, open, confused?), here is a link to an article
which suggests a couple of things about the standardisation status of
v2:

Basically it says that, although v2 has been submitted for
standardisation, there doesn't seem to be any progress to the
standardisation work and that incompatibilities are showing up between
OpenSSH's v2 implementation and SSH2.  It appears the protocol is
perhaps more proprietary than anyone knew.  If incompatibilities are
appearing then that suggests that the protocol is not properly or fully
documented which would tend to make it somewhat proprietary.  If anyone
has any more information then I'd be interested in hearing about it.
