Hi all,

Can someone let me know how you're supposed to work out what processes
are listening on a port?

For example:

# netstat -a | grep LISTEN
tcp 0 0 *:6000 *:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 *:www *:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 *:890 *:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 *:2049 *:* LISTEN
[ rest snipped ]

I'm sure it's something obvious that everyone should know *roll of
eyes*, but how are you supposed to work out what's listening on (for
example) port 890?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Pete.
