We have a Sola UPS 750/325. It came with Windows and UNIX drivers,
although we have not yet installed any of its software. From memory, it
cost us around $700. We run 4 computers; an AMD K62-300, a 486DX, and
two Cyrix 6x86 sytems, and, two clock-radio's from it (I thnk that is
all that we run from it). We run all the computers off it, due to the
unstable electricity supply in Armadale; both the voltage instability,
and, the supply unreliability. The times that we have had to shut the
computers down, when the power went off, we had about 5 minutes stored
power, with, I think, three computers running. The device both
conditions the electricty supply, and, provides backup power.

The place that we got it, has a website, at http://www.ampelups.com.au/
The company, Ampel, is based in the Belmont area. The man there, Peter
Duits, can advise on the capacity, and, most appropriate, of the UPS's.
