[plug] X and my mouse pointer.

Hello All,
	I have a strange problme with X windows (3.3.6) on my mcahine at home
(RedHat 6.2 updates, helixGnome).   Basically somthing has cprrupted video ram
and now my pointer is a 64x64(guessing) black square.   I can use it by
pointing the top left corner etc etc BUT it's not pretty

I've tried restarting X .... going into a 3D mode (Quake 3).   I'm guessing a
power down will fix it BUT if anyone knows how to get the pointer back with
out a reboot that'd be great.
